Introduction
Amateur athletes suffer over 3.5 million injuries each year in the US. How well and quickly they recover depends, in part, on following a specific plan and not returning to action until they are ready. For younger athletes in particular, mismanagement of their injury recovery can have adverse long term consequences. Everyone involved, from the parents and therapists, to the coaches and trainers, needs to be on the same page. But too often, communication and coordination among these individuals is difficult, if not nonexistent.
We're on a mission to change that problem.
Veld is a technology platform for connecting an amateur athlete’s Circle of Care—the doctors, therapists, trainers, coaches, and parents who all play a role in the athlete’s health. By bringing all of these individuals together in a single place, we can streamline communication and track the recovery process more efficiently and effectively. This will ultimately lead to better long-term outcomes for the athlete.
